Yesterday I canned some of the leftover soup from Thanksgiving, 7 quarts and 2 pints. Stocked up on freezer containers for the remaining soup that couldn’t be canned, and freezer paper wrap since my brother in law called to say he shot a deer and was donating the meat to us. Spent a few hours last night at church helping to sort and bag all the food that was donated for our annual food drive for the low income families. This year we set a record on donations and will be able to feed 119 families with each one getting about 3 bags of food. Today we will be processing the deer with my bil to stock our freezer and to can.
