Love the great ideas I’m getting from other posters. I went to the LDS preparedness manual and struck gold as far as good basic, usable info. Spent too much time reading and printing out info, but got some good stuff. Put in a three ring binder for future reference. Internet is great, BUT when it goes out as it does occasionally (like last night) in our rural area, having hard copies of things might be important. Checked on my spinach garden this morning in its new home and it’s doing great!!! Researched and finally ordered a beginning grow light that I think will work just fine. Beautiful sunny day here added to my happiness quotient today….got some winter/Christmas decorations out of storage so looking forward to changing out all this Fall stuff. Oh, did I mention a window on my 20 year old car decided not to go up. An electrical problem of some sort I guess and I can’t get in for repair until next Tues. My kind neighbor handyman made a temporary plastic/duct tape covering for it. I feel like a real red-neck country gal and isn’t duct tape just awesome? The LDS manual said I should have a list 10 roles so that’s going way up on my priority list. What is it they say in the country – you can fix anything with bailing wire and duct tape. Might just be true. 🙂
