We went down to check on the cows today and put out alfalfa cubes for them. They love them, and it makes it so much easier to see how they’re doing, instead of running all over the pasture trying to flush them out of every little hideaway. Everyone was accounted for so we went off and drilled some new holes for posts for a working pen. Used our brand new auger for it and it was wonderful. It took about a minute a hole, and once the hole was made we dropped the post in it so the cows wouldn’t step in the holes and break their legs. Next week we’ll concrete them in and drill more holes. The water levels were fine in the troughs and the well was working. It’s on a solar panel and works like a charm.
