Moving kinda’ slow this morning. Granddaughter spent last night with me, a regular Sunday night event I look forward to. She’s the youngest (11 yrs old) of five girls and looks forward I think to some free time away from the older sisters who sometimes try to dominate her. Now that I’ve begun to look more seriously at my preparation for life’s potential challenging moments, particularly through the lenses of the limitation of an 80 year old body, I’m beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed with how much more I perhaps should try to do. So, my goal today is to set some limits on what is realistic for me and to prioritize that list of prepping to-do. Finishing up my bug-out-bag is definitely at the top of the list. Not sure what’s next but I’m pretty good at sorting through the noise to find what’s right for me. Also, focusing on how grateful I am compared to so many older folks out there. I have food, clothing and shelter (in a rural area) sufficient enough for an extended period of time. A few coins set by for emergencies. A family unit that lives within walking distance of my house. And, healthy enough to actually walk there should I need to. 🙂 Life is good. God is good. I love reading everybody’s posts. Feel like I’m making a new community of friends! A friendly shout out to OldMansd and OldMt Woman and others who make my day more interesting!
