Planet earth is a very dynamic place. Its always changing. Witness the discovery of ancient sea creatures atop mountains, the higher levels of “green house gases” found trapped in ice samples thousands of years old taken from glaciers, or the fossilized remains of crocodiles and swamp plants found in the Sahara. All that and a lot more is indisputable evidence of both climate and earth changes, and not anything connected to human activity. How is one to really believe that antidotal observations of shifting ground, animal behavior, or weather phenomena is evidence of disruptive human activities when industrialization began in ernest only two hundred years ago in comparison to earth’s geologic and climate history?
As for the Moulder Minimum, the receding sun spot activity, there is very much discussion on that issue as it related to colder temperatures over a period of time. Just because it isn’t mentioned on CNN does not in any way indicate that it is not of concern to both scientists and climatologists. There is a potential of it having a negative impact on the ability to grow crops in the more northern latitudes, such as the vast wheat fields of Canada and the upper Mid-west.
