As a reader of Dr. M. King Hubbert, his follow on Kenneth S. Deffeyes, in my opinion Peak Oil is real.
If anything the shale miracle proves it: When the cheap, easy to get to stuff is gone, then non-conventional oil is viable. It may not be economically practical, as non-conventional fracking oil wells deplete at an exponential rate, but as long as somebody is making money, it will continue.
Climate Change is also happening. It is not going the way the so-called experts think, as there are way too many variables involved, not a computer model written by humans perfect enough to make any real predictions.
Might as well as break out the Magic 8-ball.
We cannot dump all that crap into the oceans and not impact the environment.
We cannot subject bees to all that insecticide and not impact the environment.
It is here. But what we, mere humans think on the subject, we are delusional and in love with our own intelligence.
