Xant Dewit….wow! I used to drive school buses…long ago. Drove tour buses and about any other size of people-mover too. Loved handling the big rigs and people laugh cuz I’m small. But people do the stupidest things around school buses. I about got into it with more than one who threatened MY kids on the bus with their stupidity. Hmph! So glad to hear your extraordinary incident had only minor injuries. But HOW did a bus end up in the dyke???
Loving Life…sorry about migraines. Yike, 3 days? Bet it wipes you out! I get doozy headaches tho not officially migraine. Can’t lay down/ can’t sit down or head will explode. Have to stay upright and pace. Lasts hours but not days. Nasty tho but ….thankfully I haven’t had one in a while. \0/
Red Carnation…that is ominous. Our Just-In-Time delivery of goods, esp groceries will play into how long it takes to create crisis if ever EVERYONE runs to the stores at the same time, right? It’s a good time to Not Be There!!! [that’s one of my current sayings when it comes to safety – Don’t Be There!]
OK…not much today. Collected a few recipes for my Binder and my little Everything spiral book. I keep Post-StuffHitsFan [or just homesteading] type recipes/data in a particular binder. [I have LOTS of binders …by category] AND I have a 3″x5″ fat spiral notebook. I carry that around most places. It has all sorts of things in there that I can’t REMEMBER but would be handy for emergencies of the more serious type. But I refer to it for usual daily things too.
EXAMPLES: recipes for rehydration [someone sick and can’t keep down water]….how to make ink from lamp soot….my mom’s egg noodle recipe…..my friend’s homemade laundry soap recipe….wind speeds for categories of hurricanes…..how to make an ‘expedient’ COB outdoor oven with kitty litter [clay], grasses, and …. ??
See? I forgot the third thing WHICH IS WHY I have all these weird/varied things recorded in this small notebook. I add new things from time to time. Keep it in a Ziplock – waterproof.
