CB hit on something that is not often figured in when discussing some lethal pandemic illness. If 30 million are believed to become fatalities, it would seem that millions more would become ill but survive. A fatality rate of 50% would mean 60 million became ill. Service providers we all depend upon would be ill and many services would be severely curtailed or even unavailable. Schools would close, meaning parents would have to find some way to care for at-home children AND work. Almost an impossible task. Large gatherings would cease to happen. We would have the sick, those caring for the sick likely at home because healthcare facilities would be overrun, and those too afraid to venture out for fear of becoming sick. Society would be turned on its head.
