Beautiful sunny (but cold) day….well for us it’s cold at 30 degrees….I’m getting my bug out bag ready to go back into car….ordered some needed things for it from Amazon….store shopping is just too challenging for me right now and though I’d love to buy locally to help our local businesses, the convenience for me of on-line shopping is winning out…whatever, I feel pretty good about my BOB progress and hope by the end of this week to have it 96-hour ready as recommended by the LDS materials I downloaded. One errand I must do today is taking car to repair shop. Electric window thingys not working properly and oil change is way over-due. I have some new audio-books downloaded on my phone so hopefully that will keep me distracted enough to behave myself while waiting. Patience is a virtue but I’m still practicing that skill a lot! Trying to limit my computer time…I know I spend far too much time on my computer! I’m toying with the idea of doing a trial run of no-power-no-internet scenario….wondering how long I can force myself to go without…hmmm….like breaking my coke habit….won’t be easy, but I somehow feel this is something I should do just to see how long I can keep my spirits up and positive, particularly not being able to know what’s going on out in the world. Hmmm…..it will be there when I go back but perhaps I may find life so much more peaceful and quiet without all that noise I’ll give it up all together….nah, not going to happen…:)
