Corsaire….loved your ode to the departed Keurig!  lol

As for BOB reality check…. {sigh}  everyone has that reality check…repeatedly.  ‘Course it doesn’t take much weight to go over my limit.  DH’s GetHomeBag is a battered old grey backpack [purchased old on purpose] with incorporated wheels.  He would mostly be going straight home on mountain highway.  But if anything got tense, he could carry it cross-country if he had to.  Would sure slow him down cuz….he’s old too and the wheels add weight. Only the hope that it would get him further/faster makes the wheels a good idea.  And anything is too heavy in this mountain terrain…  But he keeps up with dog in the hillsides each day so, eventually he’d make it.

Dala Barnes….OW!  Dog bite is serious even if it’s not deep or damage.  My little finger and my own dog’s tooth came into unfortunate contact some months back.  I did the usual scrubbing out…x2 cuz it was dog’s mouth.  Dog and human mouth means a higher than normal infection rate….a LOT higher.  Mine wasn’t that deep but that thing got infected despite my better-than-normal care.  I’m nearly offended …cuz my body fights off that type of infection very well.  I STILL have a tiny, red, swollen area.  Probably have to slice it and restart the healing.  🙁  If I get around to it.  The rest did slowly heal but I used hot poultices and tea tree oil and allll the things I usually do not have to use.  Since you mentioned “loose dog” ….was someone able to see if it has updated rabies shots, at least?

Amy Dixon ..re: honey.  DH ordered some dehydrated ginger plus honey.  We use the ginger for hot tea…double warms you up, and good for warding off illness.  In this case, the dehy honey was in the mix but I’m not sure how else I’d use it.  In our arid/chilly region, I switch out any honey I buy; put into wide-mouth canning jars.  Cuz it always goes crystallized on me.  Impossible to get out of small mouth jugs or jars.  Can’t heat it enough in large plastic containers to return to liquid and get it all out of there either.  Had an ongoing war with a gallon jug for over a year til I finally just sawed open the heavy plastic jug.  Hmph!

I’m older and try to gauge my projects so I finish in one day.  Tiny house and unfinished projects will block walkways.  Today I was getting rid of a mouse that had discovered something of interest under my bed.  [I HATE foul, nasty rodents!]  Took me so long to take everything that is stored under the bed outside to throw away or sanitize.  It’s a high bed.  A lot under there.  Haven’t purchased the new vacuum yet….made me sorry today cuz the old ones are next to useless.  Well, I’m almost done putting things back under there…  But ran flat outta steam!  I did fill a mouse hole [yeah, just like Tom and Jerry cartoon] with steel wool!  DH cooked late lunch and put together meatloaf tonite.  Enough to have for a few meals.  We both cook like that.

Anyway, any time I can sort/clean an area of this tiny house….it means I can re-log into my brain  WHAT’S WHERE for preps.  Shifted one small tote nearer to the door.  It’s one that should go out if we had a BO or EVAC, but isn’t a top priority.  Trying to sort and store things with that in mind.  At this point, I have no idea where photo albums are???  Shoots…I couldn’t even find the meat loaf/bread pans tonite.  Whole kitchen’s been moved due to constant mice invasion but…WHERE did I put those?  Probably right under my nose..

OldMtWoman …would like a bit more space and STOP with the rodents!
