I love that Cheryl Greene “paid it forward” with the extra on her gift cards. Wishing we might try to promote this idea more, especially now at Christmas. I have occasionally paid for the car behind me while going through a drive-through window such as Starbucks. One time I was eating alone during one of my solo travel trips, and someone picked up my dinner tab. Don’t know who it was to this day, but I felt really grateful for that kindness shown me by other diners. I’m still waiting on my grow light. Still in shipment from somewhere but should be here I’m told on or before Dec 4. Picked up one of those head-lamp gizmos to wear for hands-free working to go in my BOB. Loving gas prices in our area…down to $2.05 a gallon today so thinking to fill another 5 gal can to have on hand. Wondering what the “shelf” life is for gas….I think you’re supposed to put some sort of stabalizer in it. Will check that out. I genuinely look forward to reading all the new posts everyday and wishing Daisy might start another contest or something to keep this conversation going….I’m learning so much from everyone and really enjoying that sense of community I feel as I don’t have anyone locally that I know who shares this interest. They’re probably out there but I’m a retired 80 year old woman and not out and about much anymore. I especially enjoy reading OldMtWoman’s daily sagas…. she’s got to be a “hoot” in person!!! And OldMansd’s updates on health issues that affect our ability to do things. I wonder if a special forum for the 60 plus types sharing ideas for dealing with age related limitations and adjustments we have to make might be a good idea. A couple of seniors are on here who are living in a RV I think and trying to work out how to store stuff in limited space. Spinach Report: it continues to do great!!!! Got down to 21 degrees here last night so I left a small heater on in the tool shed where I put it. Might not have been necessary, but I’m still learning about indoor gardening.
