indeed @red carnation and the spare can opener reminded me, that I need one. Right before the hurricane hit, a number of my supplies went to my parents. The only thing they had was a flashlight, so food, camping lanterns, phone chargers and my spare can opener went to them They managed to get a few rotisserie chickens on their own.
The short story is that they werent paying too much attention, and didnt think it would hit here. They had a week without power, I had power and just lost internet.
They only thing I didnt replace or recover was the can opener. I purchased them a generator, so they should be ok.
Dog bites, ugh. I empathize with all of you. The dog who mauled my pooch, also bit off a piece of my finger. More details when it gets resolved.
