P.S.  Of course if you’re growing micro-plants, most of the above suggestions don’t really apply.  You harvest before they can get too tall/spindly.

OK…today I spent a lot of time going thru my Town Ebags.  It’s truly winter and things have been jumbled since my stay away from home last month.  So now FINALLY, they’re sorted and have winter-appropriate things like wool sox, gloves, hats, etc in case of winter emergencies.

Then all heck broke loose.  Dog’s LOUDLY going nuts.  Coyotes howling …multiple…and they’re WAY too close!  WHERE is my old goat?  Did they get her?  Aaugh!  No, she’s here.  Whew.  DH went around the road side to check.  I caught sight of one coyote slithering up right next to house.  Steep hill so I grabbed what I needed and ran out the back door.  By then I had no clear shot that wouldn’t [possibly] go right over the hill and beyond.  Not safe ENOUGH.  So I hurried the critter on his way by firing 2 shots directly into the hillside only.  It certainly DID hurry!   Just reasserting our “territory”….have to do that from time to time.  Closed goat into her house.  She was a bit wide-eyed but she hustled up to safety when the dog gave first warning.  We back up the dog.

OldMtWoman….guess I’ve got to find something for supper.
