One of those days…..started listening to the book ONE SECOND AFTER by William R Forstchen (sorry for the caps but I can’t figure out how to underline) last night and have been finishing it today. Wow! I’m too far in not to finish it, but emotionally it has put me in a hard place. I pray this sort of thing might never be something my grandchildren would have to endure while at the same time recognizing the real threat of some sort of EMP event occurring. I think I may even have seen some reference to a recent military report once again urging the powers that be to do more to protect our electric grid. That’s why I decided to read this particular book. But, I’ve found it a real “downer;” so for me, it’s acknowledging my personal limitations, considering some of the ethical questions raised by the book, and continuing on with my common sense prepping activities. And, continuing on with my indoor gardening efforts which make me happy! I talk to my plants….but then I’m 80 years old and we are known to even wear purple. 🙂
