Looking into grow light/vertical / indoor gardening as well. I’ve got a place in one of my flower beds that I stuck some garlic in years ago– and it’s still coming up and doing its thing. I’d have a better eye on it but that part of the bed is overgrown with incredibly invasive rough-leafed dogwoods and spiders love it. Being majorly arachnophobic I don’t want to poke my arm in there during the summer and get a surprise. But the garlic shoots are still coming up even now and the spiders have gone to sleep (mostly). Anyway, I could still put garlic in the indoor garden as well as shallots and celery and carrots… anything that I’ve used the tops of and maybe get another crop. I’m amazed at how much produce and meat is now contaminated. It’s like– what CAN we buy to eat? “Here, have this GMOed, Round Up Ready, corn hybrid!” Hmmm…
Found some places in oldest daughter’s room that I can use for storage. Just combine this and that and I’ll have several empty shelves. (She had the old in-laws apartment which had a kitchenette.) I’ll need to make a map so I can find the stuff I’ve stored but at least there’s room for supplies.
