Spent quite a bit of time this morning searching online for a supplier of Italian mattarello rolling pins for making pasta. The type I’d like to find is about 40 inches long but only about 2 inches in diameter, with a carved knob on one end so you can hang it up to lessen the chance of it warping. Found one but, unfortunately, the vendor doesn’t ship to the U.S.. (Maybe I’ll just buy a thick, long, hardwood dowel and carve and sand it into the shape I want). Then I went to lunch with a non-prepper friend and, among other things, discussed how to prepare for Winter storms. Gotta break them in slowly, lol.
