Beautiful, crisp winter (late fall) day. Temp never got above freezing but the sun being out makes all the difference. Swapped out the stove in my truck get-home bag this morning. The new one is smaller and lighter. Since I was putting the other stove, a Jetboil, in my camping gear bin, I decided I should make an inventory list of what was in there. I also did the same for the extra hiking gear bin (minus all the various packs we have acquired over the years – that’s for another day). Found some good stuff I had forgotten about! My goal is to have the bins as a sort bug out complement so if we need to evacuate we can toss these bins in the back of the truck and be ready to go. Next step is to copy the handwritten inventories into my supply database.
Did my normal 2.75 mile hike with the dog at a quick pace for a little cardio workout this afternoon. Still some snow on the ground in the forest, but very passable for the time being.
