Well, I missed posting yesterday. We went to feed the cows late yesterday afternoon and got the truck stuck in the mud. It was only 33 degrees and raining, and I had boots on that I thought were waterproof. Hahaha. Note to self– put socks in the truck. I had spare boots but the socks were missing. So I changed into another pair of boots. They leaked too so I had wet feet most of the afternoon. We did everything we could to get the truck out but alas, it is still there. Our house is over fifty miles away so walking back to the house wasn’t an option. And once it’s dark we’d have to watch for the wild boar out there. Our youngest rescued us, bless her heart, and dropped us home. What did we learn? Mud tires are mandatory. (A tractor would have been nice too.) Put spare socks in the car. Make sure boots don’t leak. Get road to back of property reworked. BTW, we did feed the cows. And don’t panic.
