Today I did my weekly volunteering at the park. When I was driving to the building where I work, a fox crossed the road. He leisurely walked in front of me and into the woods. That was special. I paid bills and worked on my checkbook, baked a banana bread from overripe bananas and put half in the freezer. We had a penance service at church tonight. I talked with a priest from Africa and came away feeling uplifted yet humbled. His calm demeanor and quiet voice were what I needed at this time in my life.
