Flamingo Lady: Sorry to hear about your daughter’s fall.  Hope it isn’t broken.

rd Lucai:  ….earthquakes…  I’m out west but there are rare earthquakes here.  Usually the simple Ka-Chunk type that makes you think a Mac Truck ran into your house.  So when I read your post, I looked up at all the bookshelves on the walls above my bed.  Yeah well, my plans would be to roll over quickly up against the wall so I think I’d be clear of the cascade of ….lots of books.  Might be stuck between wall/bed and buried under the books….  Glad you’re ok.  Anyone else feel that one? ….er, two…wasn’t it?

Today my prep was going to medical appt…..and will again on Friday.  Ya let these medical folks get started on you….  No, this is necessary to figure all this out.  Then decide what is needed, if anything.  Just takes long to get there!

Visited our elderlies while DH finally got car in for oil change.  Then we did our usual couple hours at Walmart….and that’s the bulk of Christmas for us.  Some of their favorite candies and we’re done.  None of us does anything extravagant for Christmas.  We’re all too tired!!!

Came home in snow…not much.  Too dry here so it’s welcome…if it doesn’t get too enthusiastic and come down all night.

Did check the availability and cost of canning jars at this Walmart.  They had some but not a lot.  Price ok.  Bought two oven mitts.  My hand strength is poor and grip is quite unreliable.  So I found mitts with silicone but also has an insulated lining.  Cuz just silicone heats up fast.  But I do like the GRIP it has.  We’ll see how they work in practice.  I’d imagine they’d work well with my cast iron cooking.  Sometimes new things can be better than old things…and sometimes not.

OldMtWoman….old ‘bodies’ are in the NOT category!  Definitely!
