OldMansd – I think the non-fiction book by Jerry D. Young may be the one he wrote called “Emergency Preparedness and Personal Survival” that was published around 2011. Amazon.com has Kindle format copies of it for sale for 99 cents. I think I’ll get a copy of it to read also.
Didn’t do much prepping today because I spent a lot of time working on getting Christmas cards and e-cards sent out to family and friends along with personal notes. I did finally finish reading “Lights Out” by David Crawford though. Saw that Nourished Essentials is having a half-price flash sale just for today on their starter kit of 3 wide-mouth fermentation lids, 3 glass fermentation weights, a manual pump, and a small booklet of fermentation recipes. Its a good deal but I’m trying to decide if I want to buy it now or not since I probably won’t be doing much fermentation until the Spring. There always seem to be so many things one needs/wants to spend money on around the holidays – it’s hard to stay on a budget this time of year (sigh).
