Agreed!!! DH heard Walgreens got bought out by a corporation…not in U.S. He was talking to an employee that quit. Said they no longer get any paid holidays as is traditional here HOWEVER, I’ve looked and cannot confirmed that.
Walgreens was indeed buying out half of the Rite Aid stores earlier this year. And Amazon is giving everyone fierce competition. Whether the Walgreens-Foreign buy out is true or not, the choices of these large corporations have huge effect on the rest of us. It’s just another way corporations are forcing a global economy and more limited choices. Traditional mom and pop stores don’t have a chance. 🙁 ….leading us to have fewer options and that’s scary. Every transaction we do will be KNOWN….
