This is my prep for yesterday. I went to the dentist for my biannual cleaning and checkup. My teeth have always been bad and I am missing at least 6 in the back. Last year I was ready to get implants after saving the money. When I had an X-ray to confirm placement, it showed the nerve too close to the surface for implants. So discouraging. My dentist though is great. With no insurance I wanted to go once a year for checkups. She wants to save what teeth I have. ( my mouth is too small for comfortable dentures). She gives me 30% off my bill. And yesterday she decided to give me free fluoride treatments each visit. Yes, I know fluoride is controversial but at my age, 69, I’m okay with it if it saves my teeth.
