@ Muffy1938  I purchased a three pack of night lights that work on motion.  They cycle through several colors of light, but can be set to one color.  They come on when they detect motion, and when the power goes out.  I have them plugged in lower outlets near where hubby and I sit, and in the kitchen and bathroom.  When the power goes out, they can be unplugged and and used as a light to get to alternative lighting. They are fairly bright.

I found a cache of eggs that the pullets have been hiding.  behind a bucket, in the corner, under the poop board.  I had to throw them out, as my rooster is not in with them, and last week was very cold.

I straightened up my daily pantry and found a few holes in my inventory.  I have to make a run to the grocery store.  I usually go to Costco’s for some of the stuff, but I’m just not up to the hour long drive.  I’m going to visit my family in a few days and that is a few hours drive each way.

I bought two basic first aid kits and beefed them up. One for my son’s car, and one for mine, to replace the one I gave away last week.  The young man that I gave it to was impressed and when he saw that there was a written list for refilling it, he was even more so.  He has a small business and is going to use my kit as the model for his work trucks and main office. 🙂

I dehydrated some frozen zuchinni that was in the freezer from last summer.  I used up the frozen eggs for cookies and breads.  I have gone through most of my canned pumpkin, so next year I will have to can more than I have been.  I have been washing a lot of canning jars, which means I have been using a lot of canned products.  I will have to really step up my game this summer.  My garden didn’t do so well this past summer, because of all the rain.

I’m still reading How to books and survival situation books.  I have really gotten into the below zero show.  I will be glad when I can do more ‘physical’ prepping again.\

I’ve done a little local shopping, mostly for small gifts and such, at the “mom and pop” stores.  We don’t have many left, so they need the business.
