It was a sunny day, finally!  With temps near 50, I thought it would be a good idea to walk the perimeter of our property.  I like to do this occasionally just to make sure the fences are still intact and nothing has been bothered.  Everything looked good. I also caught up on my ironing. We use cloth napkins everyday, wrinkled or not. But I wanted to get the Christmas ones ironed for Christmas dinner.  I also iron our flannel shirts; they look so much better when ironed. Ironing relaxes me, so why not do it? I should have waited to iron after I worked on this month’s expenses.  I have to transfer money from savings to checking to pay off my credit card. Every month I put a certain amount of money into savings for various things that come up throughout the year—insurance, medical expenses, car expenses, gifts, property taxes and of course Christmas. We charge everything we buy on a cash back credit card and pay it off each month. By the new year we have between $300-$700 in cash back, depending on what we spent during the year. Every little bit helps when you are on social security and a state pension.
