Good*NITE….I keep getting here later and later. Just attempted to place an order for the wall calendar I get every year for the past 2 decades. Big enough to write what we don’t want to forget…. and no, we don’t have an iPhone to schedule things electronically. I remember daughter went off to college and got herself one of the early electronic devices to keep your calendar/address/phone#s. Pre Internet and Cell phones. She got them all entered and somehow — all data wiped out. She was not happy. I still keep mine mostly on paper. Anyway, 30 min later, I’m still not sure the order went thru and customer service is not available at this hour, of course. Gaaah!
Nice to come here where the forum is available even if at least half the world is in bed by now. As for decluttering [Loving Life and Muffy mentioned] I love it and hate it. I love the process of getting rid of disorganization. Tho one can’t tell from my house, I do organizing very well. But I don’t throw much away — I reuse/repurpose EVERYthing. Almost. I can happily go from here to there, getting things organized….pulling out things I haven’t even seen in um, too long. Happy Day. But of course if I’m not willing to part with much, organizing well can only take you so far. Tiny house doesn’t help at all. But…we persevere, right?
And I count decluttering/organizing as important prep – cuz we’re finding things we forgot we had – or WHERE we stashed it! I’m doing at least a bit daily now. Today was quite a mess of packing materials from stuff that’s come in FedEx/UPS this past week. {not even Christmas stuff}
RufusJ….I’ve lived a season with UNending rain/mud. ‘Bout to build an ark that year! Got a Farmall H stuck up a bit further than the rear axle. We got it out with manual labor….shovels and a jack. Threw a LOT of rocks in that hole…making progress…. and then snapped off one inner tube stem on a rock. Had to lift the rear wheel out of the hole with a come-along….get it repaired….drop it back into the hole to put back on the still-stuck tractor….and continue getting the whole tractor out of the mud. {they called us ‘Murphy‘ …as in Murphy’s Law…in that neighborhood.} We were a LOT younger then….but still gave up on that mucky land and regrouped for another try elsewhere. Hope your truck comes home nicely on Saturday! Praying you get over your illness and the fatigue!
Jessee J …sounds like a horrible time after root canal…and enduring one of those is bad enough. Hope it’s better now.
Xant….it sounds like so many regulations for rural living. But running into a declared “historic” site here in U.S. would get some extra regulations too. Well, somewhere land is waiting for you!
Towards evening, I started to feel stuffed up in a way that isn’t my usual sinus. So I drank some ginger/honey tea with lemon squeezed in. Then took an herbal formula that’s worked for us for decades. DH and I just don’t get bacteria/viral sick anymore. Other health issues but not that. Last time was….6yrs ago? And he’s out and about in public. But we jump on it right away! Delay and it will get ya! So I’ll keep an eye on this…take more stuff in the morning. Can’t bring any germs to the elderlies for Christmas!
Did some research today…general. Usually do some of that daily. Cut/Paste if I run into any data….and I did that with Daisy’s shower bomb recipe. Might try it too….with feeling on the edge like this.
