Xant…always glad to hear your stories. We’ve had TV about 3 years out of the past 30. Not in the past 20 at all. Only thing I miss is HOW to pronounce new words people keep making up and how to pronounce prominent names in the news. I only read on Internet…not vid clips. I’m happy to put up with that and go without TV.
OldMansd…the rocket stove worked well – in a true test! 🙂 So it doesn’t get that hot on the bottom? That’s good to know! I WILL get one of those built!!! Not today or tomorrow….but I’m keeping that project towards the top of the LIST. Haven’t seen that type of craft you made…must have taken some time to place those bitty dots. Your dw will love it! At the “11th hour”…I’m still trying to come up with an idea for my DH. Brain has gone blank on me this year. 🙁
RufusJ …yay, so glad you’re finally feeling better. Hard to be down …so close to Christmas!
Hieronyma…y’all drive safe and have a great time. Sorry you’ll be delayed in leaving tho.
JesseeJ ….hope that root canal problem will be handled soon.
I read the same article ….Red Flags….and the links…and links from there. We mostly don’t keep much in the bank. ” A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush”, as they used to say. Food, supplies, tools, books-data, skills are ‘in the hand’. We’ve ordered some things lately….even tho we don’t spend much on Christmas. Placed $ where we needed to fill in. {Merry Christmas to us} Course then ya gotta find where to PUT THINGS…
To bed earlier tonite…still feeling a bit ‘off’ but no worse. Now would not be a good time to break my no-illness record. {shaking head}
