Xant Dewit – Your KoMo Classic grain mill is beautiful – such a pretty wood housing! This is the kind of oat flaker I have (but it is manual, not electric): https://www.amazon.com/All-Steel-Marga-Mulino-Roller-Cereal/dp/B01N7QXV5A/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1545459941&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=marga+marcato+mulino
Yesterday (Friday), I drove for over an hour to go to a very nice natural foods store that has a special cool room (55 degrees Fahrenheit) full of bins of bulk grains, nuts, beans, salts, sugars, flours, herbs and spices. I bought some more organic dried elderberries to make elderberry syrup and an elderberry tincture to help fight colds and flu. I also bought some hominy corn to give to a friend who likes it. It is hard to find hominy in my part of the country, so I was happy to be able to get some. Because it was my first visit to that store, I also walked up and down all the aisles and made a list of many of the items they sell and what they charge for them so I can compare the prices to see if I would save money shopping there again, or if i should just order those items online.
Next, I drove for another half hour to get to a discount grocery store I like. I did part of my monthly grocery shopping there and was pleased to find that they had little tubs of Siggi’s Icelandic yogurt for just 25 cents (that’s $0.25 U.S.) each! By the time I got back home, I was so tired from all the driving and shopping that I fell asleep and didn’t unpack my groceries until I woke up after midnight (which is why I’m writing this post so late at night <smile>, Later today (Saturday) I will be going out again to two or three more stores to finish my grocery shopping for the month – so I guess I’d better stop writing and go to sleep, lol.
