Well how ’bout that? I’m not really good at the electronic tech stuff but I just managed to post a profile pic. Ahem…I don’t remember where I grabbed that image so I hope there is no copyright stuff to worry about. {roll eyes} So it’s a YELLOW CARDINAL. …cuz I’m often a ‘bird of a different color’ , so to speak. 😉 And yes, this is a real variation like some other critters. I’ve seen a coal black fox. Rare but possible.
PTL I do not have any sign of the headache today. \0/ And I got 8 hrs of sleep, finally. Seems like I was busy allll day but mostly just putting the wreckage back together after not being quite able-of-mind-body the past couple days. But house looks a bit better for the efforts. So tonite I began looking over my old WILDFIRE EVAC PLANS. Yeah, very much needs to be revised. But I’ll glean some good ideas from the old version. Notebook will collect stray ideas as they come to me…..as in: OH…I can’t forget to bring this!
Cuz you’re never going to remember unless it’s down on the EVAC PLAN! …ask me how I know…
Sending a prep item to Brother for [late] Christmas…..who is woefully unprepared but I think he’ll like this. Hip waders….cuz access to the boat he lives on keeps getting flooded. I’m upgrading him from boots that are often too low and his Plan B of 2 trash bags. LOL I’m impressed he has a Plan B!
Boiled some potatoes and eggs tonite. Elderlies are cooking a ham. I’m bringing potato salad. We keep things VERY simplified these past years — it’s survival! But at least we can still pull off a festive day. I hear the tree is only minimally decorated this year. Elderlies ran out of energy but they did get the lights on the outside railing. I’m impressed. I’d have gone in to help but…I’ve been laid up! Rats. Well, we do what we can and be satisfied…even if it’s not like “we used to do”. We’d actually go to a restaurant if there was one open in our tiny hamlet.
NwPrepr015….I liked what you posted about the older folks and the insane rise in housing costs. The bottom is dropping out for a lot of folks. 🙁 And OldGoat’s comments about it too.
FlamingoLady…..oooh, I just had a day like that – after a night like that! I didn’t get half as much done as you did the next day tho. Hope you’re well now for Christmas!

Skypony….hooray on finishing your afghan!!! Seems like we’ve watched you on that project! Um…you reminded me I have to WRAP presents tomorrow! I was so glad to get them on our shopping trip….and there they sit. oops.
