It makes me smile to read about all your holiday doings today. Thanks for sharing!
We had a nice day with the elderlies. Simple meal but I was so stuffed I didn’t even eat pie til we got back home. Plenty of leftovers for sandwiches, etc. for a couple days to come. ENJOYED the Christmas tree and the lights on houses as we drove home after dark. 🙂
For prep gifts – both DH and I got warm clothes/wool sox. DH got a coat with specifically a metal zipper. That man has more clothes in good shape but broken zippers! Got another 10 pack of small LED flashlites …..so finally I’ll have some to put into the 1st Aid kits. I’d gotten that tip from here…sorry I don’t remember who to credit! Also we have now replaced two sizes of faulty adjustable pliers…they were AGES old! 🙂 I like tools and faulty ones bug me!
Downloaded a lot of FREE ebooks today.. 🙂 …large percentage were prepper fiction. Thank you Daisy, for the story you posted. It was an enjoyable read! I switch off between reading prepper stuff and fluff stuff. Keeps me balanced. Lets me sleep! 0_0
Renewed my new ‘texting’ skill while “in town”. I had learned that in November – necessary with that crisis going on and while I was staying “in town” with elderlies. I’d forgotten some but fiddled with the cell and figured it out again. Took pics to send around to relatives far away. Set off a storm of texts and pics back and forth between us all…and some phone calls. Made our party larger…thru the magic of technology.
I have always wanted to be fully aware and appreciate our current level of modern conveniences for as long as we have it! I often give thanks for hot showers. I’ve lived without….and I’ve lived with….I like WITH better! Of course! But….I know I can live without a lot.
OldMtWoman ….peaceful and thankful on this blessed day. G’nite all.
