Went for a walk along the beach down around Seaside, Oregon. Took the grandkids who are staying with us for a the rest of the week. I tried to tell them the ocean was closed but they wanted to go. We had a good walk along the sand and found some of the largest shells I have ever gotten on the oregon coast. We have had some tide surges and such due to winds and there was a lot of stuff piled up around the beach.
I had taken my hiking pack and there were three poncho type rain coats in there. I had mine on already and we could see the squall heading our way so got them covered and were dry. But the wind blew fairly hard for a while as you can see from picture below. I also included one of the shells. Now if we are still here…I know better when to go beach combing.
We hiked about 2.5 miles and had fun doing it. Good day.
