Today I finished downloading the rest of the free 29 e-volumes of the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica from SurvivorLibrary.com into my computer so I can later transfer 2-3 copies of it onto flash drives to keep with my preps.

I also got a phone call from an elderly friend who thanked me for the No. 10 can of freeze-dried blueberries I brought her a few days ago as a Christmas gift.  (I had opened the can for her, re-packaged the contents into 14 serving-sized Ziploc-type bags, put those bags back into the can and closed the can with the plastic lid that came with it).  My friend said she was able to easily carry one of the little bags of freeze-dried blueberries down to the dining room of her assisted living facility and add them to her morning oatmeal – which is what I’d hoped she would be able to do.  She loves fresh blueberries but, of course, isn’t able to keep fresh berries in her room.  She is allowed to keep the freeze-dried berries there, so this way she can have some to snack on when she feels like it.  BTW, the FD blueberries I got her this time were the Saratoga Farms brand, and she said they were large and sweet.

I also spoke with another friend and explained that the galvanized steel trash can, foam yoga mats, adhesive spray, and metal HVAC tape I had given a different friend for Christmas were not some kind of weird joke gift but, rather, were a DIY Faraday Cage kit.  Yes, it was a “teachable moment”, LOL.
