yesterday was supposed to be a quiet day with our daughter, her husband and daughter. Hubby got sick to his stomach at lunch, then my granddaughter got a text from a friend she was all alone for Christmas as she is an only child and both parents had to work. I told her to go get her and have her spend the day with us. She picked her up but couldn’t get the car to start so she called her dad. Hubby drove the son in law to the friends house to find out why the vehicle won’t start. He managed to get it started so they drove it back to their house and then had trouble shutting it off. Turns out the car is shot and they will have to buy a new one. Hubby drove the girls back to our house, where we spent an enjoyable time playing games, eating too much food, and then drove them home. Spent the remainder of the night reading prepping articles.

Today I cleaned all the food out of the fridge and packaged it up for the freezer. Made some tv dinners out of the leftovers for those nights we are coming in late. Washed up a couple loads of laundry, washed up all the dishes and shopped for a few Christmas gifts for next year from all the clearance sales. Finished reading the book True Light by Terri Blackstock and picked up the last book in the series from the library.
