Well, I’m hammed out!  It takes a lot of ham meals to get me to that point.  Aldi’s had their spiral-cut hams half-price several weeks ago so I bought my limit of two.  Heated the first on up and divided it into 1# portions and into freezer bags to pull out individually over the coming months.  Heated the second up on Christmas Eve for all the family coming over.  What remained of the second one I had my son take it home with him, but I did save the ham bone.

I was ready for something other than festive holiday fare.  I was ready for a pot of beans, cabbage, and cornbread!

Put a pound of ’13 bean’ soup beans in the Instant Pot along with the ham bone, bay leaves, a touch of garlic, and kosher salt and covered it with water.  Set it for two hours on high pressure.  Had to take my wife to a doctor’s appointment.  When we got home the beans were done to perfection and the IP had kept them hot. The beans, cabbage, and cornbread were a good change, for sure.
