Busy days. Here we celebrate Christmas Eve, first Christmas Day and a second one. Yes, two days of Christmas. My parents came and stayed over. We had a good time with good food and such.
Im winter canning. Did 14 jars of very large Spanish white beans. Two lid failed so I will make a roasted white bean dip to eat with the rest of the leftovers.
I sorted out my 1/2 litre leifheit jars to use in my pressure canner. Had to change a broken plastic lid which I had to get from the states. Which is always very expensive to get it here. We have different canning traditions here. No pressure canningbut everything in the water bath canner.
I soaked more Spanish beans and chick peas to can. It will be nice to have easy meals for when I’m late from work. I made dal in a jar. Only add water so that will be cool to have too. Researched some more meals in a jar recipes today. Will make them because I have everything in stock.
I grind cumin and coriander seeds today in a newly bought coffee mill it was a bad one and the smoke came out if it. I didn’t put in too much. Went to the store and luckily I got my money back.
