30th- Cleaned one quarter of the kitchen/family room. House is a crazy mess, step by step it will all get done. Most important about doing that area first, the counter is one of my work spaces, and has been piled high with mail and stuff, and yay, now usable so I can work in with Frankie, my Sheltie. He’s alone too much as it is. He’s got that huge coat so he likes hanging outside waiting for something to bark at, but its cold now. Anyway, I’ve gotten more serious about this hobby, model horses, these people are nuttier than the Basset people, but some are mighty fine artists, and there are some really beautiful resin sculptures. I collected Breyers since I was a little girl, and now in these scary times, finding something that you enjoyed when you were a kid, that truly makes you happy is a thing, an important thing. When the news and the doom talk gets too much I go over to Modelholics  group, lol and hang out. Feburary is NaMoPaiMo National Model Painting Month. I am painting a horse this time. I found out about it a day late for joining last year but painted one anyway, a small portrait model of my mare Misty Blue. The prettiest horse I ever met, fell in love with her despite all the terrible habits she had I loved her every minute of the fifteen years I had her, right outside my bedroom window. I painted one tonight using a different technique and different media. It was way harder than I expected, and I paint. lol.

What does this have to do with prepping? Emotional stability I’d say. Just like enjoying the fact that I actually have a clothes dryer, after spending most of my life without one. Maybe it will crash and will all go away, been there. Taking precautions, way more now than I was ever able to before, but can’t be afraid of it every day. So I collect plastic ponies and now I’m painting them too, and it’s fun.

I hope everyone is feeling better. I enjoy reading your posts. I feel like I’m just talking to myself here so most likely won’t do this again. Rock on folks.

One more day and put this year to bed. Happy New Year.
