Today made butter fresh milked jersey into a mixing bowl whisk o high for 3 min aprox once into margarine constancy drain butter milk add salt stir. For me I then batch I to 2 cup of butter add herbs while warm then put into ice cube trays easy to pop out and use. I store in glass containers with plastic lids or ziplock once hardened.

Over break we rendered pig fat to tallow, will be making soap this week, 100 bars worth it has to cure for a few weeks before you use it. The scent is mint and rosemary just finished extracting the essential oils. We use the cold to separate the oils they stiffen and can be scooped when cold from the alcohol bath.
