Did you count the number of cops that responded? It looked like five or six. SMH. I’m not aware of any law that requires someone to produce an I.D. upon demand. But the way in which the Constitution is ignored, seemingly at will, by all levels of government, I wouldn’t be surprised.
One of my sons was pulled over one evening as he as several friends were on the way to eat dinner. The stop, as told to him by the city cop, was due to a cracked taillight lens. Almost immediately the cop wanted to search the car. My son declined, as he was taught. So, the cop held him there until a drug dog could respond. The dog was paraded around the vehicle several times without indicating a ‘hit’. He and his friends were held there for 45 min. When he was allowed to leave, five police cars were there…. for a cracked taillight, which the initial cop never mentioned again.
Anyone who thinks we are not already deep into a police state is in serious error.
