James…so sorry to hear about your son’s encounter. My sons were also caught up in a sweep and the police found nothing. My sense is that the pressures on police to produce results in fines each month in these unconstitutional stops. They figure young people are more likely to be in violation, so they stop them. We were once stopped because we did not put our headlights into park mode when police were ahead on the road. What? We didn’t even see them!
