Yes, I avoid interactions with police. Not because I am doing unlawful things, (well, we all are realistically. There are also many laws now I doubt any of us passes a day without unknowingly breaking some law.), but because its not helpful for me personally. Every word you utter is ‘on the record’.
In the case of my son, if he had been at all disrespectful in his interaction with that cop I can almost guarantee the drug dog would have hit. The only difference between being the victim of a strong-arm robbery and the personal property forfeiture laws that almost every state is now using is that the later is committed against citizens under the color of the law.
