Did my smoothies for breakfast again this morning and will be doing that every day at least for myself. My wife sometimes opts for other but I have been cooking most of that.
Built a sprouter jar without buying them. Trying it out for the first time. Took a canning jar and we had some new screen we have been saving so cut out a good circle (all my wife on getting it correct) and glued it into a jar ring. Got wheat seeds started. Saved some money over buying a sprouter pan set. Now if it just works.
Would appreciate any help on what to do. Watched a video on how to start. Trying wheat seeds first since that was all I could get at the store. If this works ok for salads and my smoothie then could be an ongoing thing. May be a substitute for trying to grow spinach in the house.
Any recommendations on what to sprout based on yield and costs and taste?
