Jan 3 was all about fixing a problem. The chickens somehow managed to peck the cord for their heated water bowl. It’s wrapped in a metal coil! Didn’t work anymore. Had a gift steam cleaner that I have been using for parts. Broke out my soldering iron from school and attached a new cable to the heater watering bowl. wrapped in in the same steel cable and added left over PVC for giggles. Total cost – ZERO. Reclaimed/reused parts. Bonus, used my college degree for something on the farm – priceless!
