This is the biscuit recipe that I use:
2 cups self rising flour, 1/4 cup shortening, 2 tbl sugar, 2 tbl sour cream, 3/4 cup buttermilk or 7-UP. Use a pastry knife to cut shortening into mixture then add buttermilk or 7-UP, just judge how much buttermilk or 7-UP is needed. Knead lightly on floured surface and either roll by hand or use a biscuit cutter. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and bake biscuits till brown.
