I found some fabric in my stash that had a food theme, grated the beeswax with the old knuckle buster and layer cookie sheet with newspaper then parchment paper, fabric, grated beeswax, more parchment paper (you can see thru the parchment paper and see how well its melting) and ironed over the top layer of parchment paper. It worked pretty well so I made two bowl covers/sandwich wrappers and two pouches for skinny sandwich or snacks.
For the pouches I folded fabric and sewed across bottom and up side, then did the wax job. I may have got a bit too much wax on the flat sheets but it will be easy to iron it again in parchment. It seems little stiff to wrap over a bowl for a cover but it works. The snack bags can just be folded over at the top and the wax sticks well for a seal.
Muffy, you chicken breast sounds delish!!
Loving life, I’m still laughing about your genius artwork.
I’ve had a bunch of cloth napkins in the closet for quite a while so why haven’t I been using them for paper towels? I gotta do that. Some are good for a nice sit down dinner with friends but there are so many that some are now paper towels. I will still use throw away paper for grease tho- not good for the septic system.
