jan-6 I worked yesterday, and my internet connection was spotty. I don’t have a “smart” phone, so I can’t take advantage of the wifi at work. It was scrambled eggs from our chickens with onion and green pepper from our garden for breakfast. For supper we had chili that I canned. I do up about 35 quarts of chili twice a year. We go through a lot! I had corn bread with the chili. It’s always made from scratch because hubby doesn’t like the texture of corn meal and I have to use corn flour. I made a cherry pie, the crust was store bought, but the pie filling was what I had canned .last year.
I’ll try to get back on here this evening. I’m not sure what I’m getting into today. I don’t have to work and the weather is supposed to be decent, so I’ll probably try to clean up around the wood shed.
I almost forgot: I buy the flannel baby blankets at the thrift stores and cut them in quarters and hem. That is what I use for paper towels. I also have a stack of old napkins in a bucket that I use for cleaning in the kitchen. When they get too nasty for the kitchen, they become general purpose cleaning rags.
