Today I made a body butter and body wash since my skin is so dry in winter. The butter is just 1/2 cup each shea butter, cocoa butter coconut oil and sunflower oil, all of which I had on hand. Just melt the butters and oils together over low heat then cool in an ice bath till almost opaque then whip. I would have added an essential oil for fragrance but don’t have any on hand that I really want to wear. The body wash is 2 cups castile soap, mixed with one cup each coconut oil and honey again using what I had on hand so no essential oils in that either. My next project will be cutting out cloth pads for my daughter to replace commercial ones for that time of the month as well as preparing cloth TP. I’ve got some flannel and terry cloth for those purposes that I just never got around to making. This challenge is a good opportunity to catch up on those projects that I’ve been putting off.
