Usual breakfast and the rest of the meals were leftovers. I tried a different wick for my expedient Altoids tin oil lamp. Couldn’t find any cotton cordage so I cut off a thin strip of jeans denim. It did work better but the flame is still burning way more of the wick than the oil. Dies out too quickly. I actually tried rolled bits of paper towel…soaked in bacon grease and one soaked in olive oil. That was the longest lasting flame…paper towel. Wasn’t in the Altoids tin…only on a disposable pie tin for experimenting. Hmmm…
