Still working with my sick chicken trying to use what I have in house, which is abundant. She is inside now in a crate and doing much better but still the side of her face is very swollen. I made some colloidal silver water with my generator and have been feeding her that with a pipette. She’s gulping it down. Fed her some scrambled eggs this morning which she’s also eating well. I’m using warm compresses and VetRx outside and in. Put a little oregano oil on the eggs. She has definitely perked up and the swelling has gone down a tad and is less hot and red, but it’s still pretty bad.

<div>I just made a solution of ACV, garlic, a pinch of cayenne pepper and a couple of drops of oregano oil as per some advice from an experienced local chicken person. Will strain it and dilute it with filtered water and see if I can get some down her. Garlic cures everything right?</div>

<div>There doesn’t seem to be an injury, but a little bit of congestion and runny “nose.” She’s behaving a LOT better though. May just take some time being indoors and isolated. Cleaning out the chicken coop today and spraying with a homemade disinfectant spray as well, then dusting with food grade diatomaceous earth, which I always have around, and spreading that in the dust baths they seem to like. Thankfully no signs of any problems with any of the other chicks. Fingers crossed she gets better.</div>
