Wouldn’t that also be a risk for releasing a citizen’s name in an investigation and/or prosecution of a criminal? I’m not aware of an prohibitions of doing that, are you? Is the citizen’s life not as valuable as the cop’s? I think that the facts would bare out that the citizen identified is in MORE danger.
