so let’s put this in perspective Brett Kavanaugh supreme  court judge applicant, falsely accused, gets zero protection but a beat cop  who  shoots someone does because it might have blow back? You really think this victim law is to shield  cops in doing thier duties because they are a victim yet are totally ok with false accusation outing of potential judge candidate. So where do regular folk stand?  How many lives ruined by false accusations?

 

 

The law was designed to stop revictimization of people who had been already victimized, by publishing thier names.

 

In cases where potential wrong doing  in civic matter a mayor doing some shady business will now be shielded under the same way the police want to use the law. Imagine what a great tool this will be for transparency and accountability if everyone can play victim card.
